This Interplanetary Customs Declaration prop was custom-made by the production for use in the 2012 science fiction comedy Men in Black 3. Constructed from a thin translucent plastic sheet measuring approximately 7.5 x 4 inches, the prop replicates the futuristic customs forms used by travelers entering or departing extraterrestrial ports of entry within the Men in Black universe.
Printed in black on frosted translucent plastic, the form bears the header "INTERPLANETARY CUSTOMS DECLARATION" and features the iconic orbital logo associated with the fictional agency. The form humorously adapts a traditional U.S. Customs declaration, asking travelers to disclose such extraterrestrial items as live animals, plants, meat products, soil, birds, small planets, and items from Earth, while including references to Earth residence, Earth citizenship, and interplanetary transport. Props such as this would have been used as set dressing or handed to background performers portraying alien travelers in customs and immigration sequences.
